This game was a re-release, so many gamers were dissatisfied: But instead of Paradise, Daniel finds himself in the hospital, semi-immobilized, and Eva, who came, reports that he really collected 7000 souls in order for the apocalypse to begin and suggests taking the side of a certain Belial. It was his soul that became seven thousandth, opening a portal to Paradise. The Reaper, without waiting for the proposal to be fulfilled, kills Eve himself and falls out of favor with the main character. Daniel refuses, although he has a grudge against the girl. When it remains to kill one creature to fulfill the plan, the customer offers to fill in the shortage with Garner's friend, Eve.
Suspecting another deception, Daniel nevertheless undertakes to destroy the evil spirits on Earth, harvesting crops for the Reaper. But it is necessary to pay for such a service by collecting seven thousand souls. The Reaper promises to help him leave this gloomy place and move into the bright world. The main character, Daniel Garner, was deceived in both Heaven and Hell, as a result of which he remained in purgatory forever. Its events take place after the plot of the supplement for the original game and skip all subsequent logical sequels, but there is an explanation for all this, which is revealed in the ending. This is the seventh game in a row from the entire "Painkiller" series, which is a sequel-remake of the first part of the 2004 release. "Painkiller: Hell & Damnation" is a Polish first-person shooter.
